@augia5051 I think the worst thing that happens is they send you a letter saying that a package was seized en route to your house. They can't prove you were the one who ordered it/had it sent to yourself. Everyone in their right minds knows it was you that did it, but they can't prove it. So that's why they let it go. The other side of that coin though is they could also do one of a few types of controlled deliveries. Asking you to sign when you normally didn't have to is a huge red flag. If they come to your door and ask you to sign for a package you never had to sign for before, then you are 100% getting a controlled delivery and all you can do is deny the package. They will be like "You know what you don't have to sign here you go just gotta see that it has been placed in your hands!" It doesn't count if they leave it on the porch, it doesn't count if a neighbor receives it to give to you. They have to confirm that you preferably a) knew about it and b) legally took possession of it. The only way out at that point is to deny it, be like "What is this this sounds like a scam I've never had to sign before? No, I wasn't expecting anything, I refuse the package. It's probably a mistake anyway. Goodbye!" It sucks you will lose the product and I would never send it to the same address again but it's either that or you go down for it. Of course I've never had that happen let alone have I known anybody that's happened to them.

@pauldavid601 Still waiting for the definition of what USPS defines as "suspicious shit" that gives them the legal right to open a package without a warrant. Even if they were like "Here, 'accidentally' puncture this package right through the middle and the entire room smells like weed or whatever, then we got him!" it wouldn't be admissible in court, because the evidence wasn't gotten legally. When it comes to USPS they have to have probable cause first, then they have to get a warrant, only then can they legally open your package and search it. Also when you think of the sheer volume of mail that USPS delivers on a daily basis, this idea they're scrutinizing all packages that way is ridiculous. They'd probably be more likely to fire your boss for having so many packages with mysterious holes in the middle.

@sacaz9947 Depends on customs in your country. Also one of the biggest rules when doing that is don't buy anything internationally. Some people do anyway but that just means it has to cross the border, and things that do that are scrutinized a lot more than stuff that stays domestic. You may have no choice but to order internationally. I'd still say you're safe doing it but you need to do your due diligence first.

@pauldavid601 Define suspicious shit.

@gammawave1739 You aren't wrong, in the case of pharmaceuticals being sold on the street though they're usually prescribed to a person who then goes and fills them... but proceeds to sell them anyway. It's made complicated if drug tests, randomly or not, are associated with it. But yes, the mail man is even delivering black market prescription drugs VIA the mail but he's not filling the script himself or anything, no.

@juanwilliams840 I think they could easily implement a few policy changes that would make it a lot easier to catch packages like that, but the fact is right now so much mail goes through with only so much of it being contraband, for them to start "looking" for stuff like would slow the normal mail down to levels that are unacceptably slow. The other side of that is that they're still paying their shipping fees and honestly I think the fact is they don't care enough to stop it. Especially when they were struggling a while ago to keep the USPS afloat at all, more packages = more money for them. So they legitimately I don't think care.

@returnofthemak592 You're more likely to get caught if you use a PO Box. You should use your home address. You should also use your real name, the one on your ID. The reason for this is because the mailman who delivers to you already knows your name. Some people think it might be smarter to put a fake name on your address, but they'll immediately recognize it as a fake name on the address. But a PO Box I mean it is possible to do that but if you do go that route order a bunch of stuff online first and have it sent there so it's not just like "Oh I got a new PO box and all of a sudden I am sending a ton of USPS packages to it from California or Colorado" or whatever. They're onto that. The other problem with the PO Box is you have to show ID and sign for it every single time. The very idea that you're showing up to the PO Box and signing for the package is in itself a form of controlled delivery, where they'd normally have to show up at your house then essentially trick you into signing for it (thereby admitting you not only ordered it but were expecting it) but if you had just sent it to your house, they'd deliver it normally, no signature required. If you have to sign for it as a USPS package, that is the biggest red flag imaginable. The only other thing you can do is receive the package, then don't open it for at least 3 days. If you open it and they catch you in the middle of using it after raiding you a few days later, that is an admission of guilty legally speaking. You aren't getting out of that one. But that's unbelievably unlikely and rare. Just a precaution above all other things.

The main thing is I think opiate addicts need hospitals, not handcuffs. The fact it's a criminal issue and not a medical one is one huge part of the problem.

Տςհաҽҽժվ ᏖᎧᎴᎴ Yeah I don't do it myself I know people who do though. It's really not complicated once you figure everything out.

@randomhiphop5055 20-30 POUNDS?? Holy shit. Yeah that's the kind of weight they're looking for, anyone getting personal use amounts they're really not looking for like that.

I think the main thing is it's so concentrated that it is able to get through the skin in ways that people who are just touching it normally, otherwise, wouldn't necessarily unless they Scrooge McDuck'ed into a giant Scarface tier pile of it or something.
