  2.  @queencerseilannister3519  The problem is we literally can't even take care of our own people anymore, certainly not right now. If you actually think it's the same thing to have immigrants come to the country now compared to basically any time that immigrants came here before, you aren't paying attention. "Oh I know we'll just send them to work in factories!" WHAT factories? We traded them all in for slave labor from China decades ago and are still paying for that.

It doesn't really carry a whole lot of weight or meaning when you consider the fact that we've been fighting terror over there for two decades and haven't won a single one of those wars. Even ISIS which I believed was mostly destroyed came back with a vengeance today as a final middle finger to both the people trying to evacuate/the Americans as well as the Taliban who they are mortal enemies with as well. As soon as they heard that we had a deadline to evacuate, they were like "How can we throw a wrench into this one?"

  4. Man I feel so bad for anyone who doesn't have their power back yet. Most people in the metro area of New Orleans (which is most of the city) will have it back by tomorrow. But the ones in like Grand Isle and Lafourche outside of the levee system, they won't have it back until the END OF THE MONTH. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if those towns are ghost towns after this. A lot of them are going to leave on the heels of it.

  6.  @woof8608  I still think most of the world would side with the US versus China though. And that's not to say they like us, it's just if you had to pick the lesser of two evils it is unquestionably the US. People are really sore at China right now, everyone except the lied to Chinese, after the Coronavirus.
