You could never buy fucking slaves on Silk Road. Stop that. He also either stopped allowing guns to be sold or never allowed it to begin with. Nor did he allow people to hire hitmen. The site's credos specifically demanded that nothing like murder or anything that can facilitate murder like guns would ever be allowed. People THINK that though now I guess in hindsight because the guy who set it up to begin with, Ross Ulbricht, basically fell into a snare over a dispute for money or something and Ross actually did go look for a hitman that he'd pay with some of his exorbitant amount of cash in Bitcoin that he'd made from creating this otherwise completely non-violent drug bazaar. And basically yeah it was just a case of FBI agents doing an extremely good job infiltrating his system and making him think that he had to start acting like some violent drug Kingpin but really they just wanted to catch him -- they slapped murder on him anyway. Which I guess if your intention IS to have someone killed even if you're talking to a cop like your intention still was to get someone killed. HE just lost his way. He didn't have to do what he did.
