@stellaclark5598 I have this, and yes, even 50 years ago it had to be placed in my medical records so CPS wasn't involved due to error.

Both sides of my family are from WV and this happened to me growing up ALL THE TIME. It felt insulting, even if without meaning to be, but I was too young to know how to best understand or handle it. Typically I just asked them what they thought... Which led to diverse answers!!! 🤣

@stellaclark5598 I didn't realize how rare this was then! I know my much older sister had a tow of anemia that caused severe bruising despite care, and they had to do the same for her records, before I came along. Perhaps that's why it was done... Like you, by protective, now passed, parents! (My sister grew out of her anemic issues, btw.)
