  1. You've given hard earned specifics from a personal and professional perspective! I'll add my unsolicited 2 cents. Child Trauma Survivor & former longtime Victim Advocate. From my personal history & work background, I believe a full immersive break of a cycle, like boot camp or recovery facility, is necessary to reset someone, with proper lifestyle, life skills, & emotional support. Trauma knowledge is growing exponentially, and outside of the box treatments, but ultimately the key, to me, is proper social patterning, as is done with healthy dog pack & trainers, like Cesar Milan or Beckmann. Too many of us have simply never been shown appropriate behavior & are further dysregulated & ostracized by our gaps in healthy modeling. NOTHING replaces pro-social modeling in a supportive environment once all of our needs are addressed. I suspect the future of addiction, behavioral, & correctional intervention will be in Trauma work. I know for me, TALKING. WASN'T. ENOUGH. Best to you in your healing.
