Much respect for continuing your work despite the censorship. ๐๐โ

The erasure and/or absorption of especially Eastern Tribes leading to loss of partial or total connection to one's heritage is something that is under discussed, and for many has caused/causes profound loss throughout time, and universally continues.๐ฎโ๐จ

Please consider covering the tribes who refused federal enrollment out of understandable mistrust and defiance, but affecting descendents. ๐๐ชถ

Been awaiting this one! โ Have you covered the Mongolian Blue Spot some of us had/have?๐ค

And thanks for continuing to wade into necessary subjects many avoid, the light brings TRUTH! ๐

CA did a super job breaking it down! And she shouldn't be transgressive, as it makes total sense to any Southerner who loves and knows the history of our shared American music! So glad to see more contemporary artists reclaiming and sharing our music to newer listeners! And of course she sounds great! ๐๐

That's neat, love when we see how close we truly are! ๐

I've given up trying to understand the fragility of so many different kinds of people for no good reason.๐๐๏ธ

He's great!

Discovered mine as a little kid laying on the floor in school and tried to find others with it but didn't then. Only found out in Physical Anthropology classes decades later what so many unique traits were.

๐Modern hair understanding would have gone a long way to not only my hair, but family members that thought they just had bad Caucasian hair! My sister got the straight super long "good" hair and was shocked when her kid ended up with my texture ๐คฃ

If only we had such self acceptance as young people! ๐ฎ

Have witnessed bias from Italians & Italian Americans over Southern Italy but especially Sicilian people. ๐ฎโ๐จ

๐Awaiting the time when we can acknowledge one another's individual & collective struggles that UNITE us as survivors.๐ฏ๏ธ๐๐๏ธ

Very enlightening to be sure.

It's so neat when you see people who look like family when you look like few others! ๐๐๐

The comments on this clip truly disappoint. And I'm a registered Democrat. I thought our little community was more open minded. ๐ฎโ๐จ

๐For those with any familial alienation, please consider the generational effects.๐๐

Feel that same sense of profound loss daily. People past, present, and future deal with this acculturation process, everywhere around the globe, but it doesn't make the process is change easier. ๐๐๏ธ๐ชถ

Caste structure is an interesting subject, there are curious old charts of race mixtures in South America that are very detailed.

And these Eastern Tribes being squashed and subsumed, even by fellow Indians today, is why this matters so much to me as a descendant without their people. ๐ฎโ๐จ๐๐๏ธ๐ชถ

Have you covered the history of indentured servitude for Europeans in the US? Many descendants are amongst the last groups it's still okay to hate, as "white trash." Even freed black sleeves are known to look down upon them. ๐ฎโ๐จ๐๐๏ธ

THE INTRO CLIP IS EVERYTHING AND STILL TOO USED! WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER, FAM! ๐๐๏ธ๐ชถ

Think this is why many Irish Americans are so proud of their heritage, & why they disown us. We were the trash taken out for then.

My experience has absolutely been that class of origin trumps background in America.

This was moving, and as always your tact facilitates learning! & Great App suggestion! ๐

His career started when he was quite young, and our faces change as we age. I've seen people "grow" into their noses! Also, he grew up in the ghetto with many black folk at that time and shared music.

ย @PK-bh1wwย The one thing you can count on is whatever you say about Elvis, someone will counter you, even when you seem to agree ๐คฃ The division between musical styles then aren't as sharp as they are now, and folks in the South often had shared roots, but the narrative that he appropriated music and dance style is popular. As for the songwriting credits, I'll take you at your word, as this is common with many recording artists.

You are a superb researcher AND communicator, a rare combo, THANKS! ๐
