@orangerightgold7512 Well you can't really bow down to yourself lol. US and Taiwan won't bow down to China. Europe will be sending lawmakers to Taiwan soon as well. Democracies won't bow down to tyrants, everybody should rule themselves and control their own future...not China

If you actually believe Taiwan is a part of China, and that they are Chinese - what is wrong with you to be so hateful towards your own people then? I'd never say that about people of my own country...nomatter how angry I was at them. I would not even ever say that about another human, nomatter where they were from. @davidwong5197 ASML will be fine and made that revenue up by increasing the sales of 2nd generation lithography equipment to China... so stop it. In addition, I agree with the decision for US to work with it's allies to stop selling to China. China has been breaking the rules on government subsidies for their chip production, stealing technology from American companies and Taiwanese companies for years. If you stab your partners in the back - they will not stand by and keep helping you. Lastly, China complains about ASML when they themselves just got caught pressuring European companies to stop using Lithuanian inputs in their supply chain... all because they are angry at Lithuania. This is against WTO rules violates the sovereignty of EU intra-country trade and supply chains. EU has just filed a case against China in the WTO about this and has substantial proof (you can look it up if you don't believe me). So do not tell me about US and ASML...When China is the worst offender globally of pressuring foreign companies and countries to do their bidding

@orangefanta3163 I'm not in the military. But I support the US and Japan's involvement in protecting Taiwan. China needs to do it through peaceful and diplomatic means.

@Dept246 I'm aware of the history. I think it's a little more complex than that.. .as you have different factions and opinions within each political group. I think the vast majority of Taiwanese people feel "nobody belongs to anybody" rather than the extreme stances of "Mainland belongs to ROC" or "Taiwan belongs to the PRC" Taiwanese people have a different way of life, different values, completely different government system.....and they've had it for 70 years. This means they have their own passport, currency, political system, trade agreements, diplomats, social habits, etc etc To uproot all of that now, to disregard the people...and force them under the PRC, just because now the PRC feels it's strong enough to take it....just feels, deeply inhumane and cruel. It also begs the question - when is a country it's own country? Could Taiwan go on like this for 100, 200, 300 years - and it still be claimed by China as it's own? There is no set rule for this, and obviously there are a lot of different opinions. I personally feel that if a country goes so long that it develops all of these things, that it is it's own country. I feel the PRC missed it's opportunity to rightfully take back Taiwan shortly after the communist revolution, and that doing so now by force will have justifiable consequences. That is just my opinion though
