China's civil/military fusion policy is to blame for this. There is absolutely no technology manufactured by the Chinese private sector that cannot be forcefully co-opted by the government. With said, it's only logical that governments would now raise an eye to any sensitive software or technology that is installed in sensitive systems or areas. This is a logical blow-black that Beijing likely did not conceive when crafting this policy

Actually, yes, it is

The sheer amount of Israeli tech in devices ain't as much as Chinese... that is for sure.

@aredtomato8957 Lol if you say so...

@aredtomato8957 You gotta do a whole lot better than that, if that's all you got

@dixcreative I would say Australia is much more run on the CCP than the USA. They have been infiltrating their democracy for years. Hence the public resentment and thus the political pushback of the last half a decade or so by the citizens who have woken up to the fact...in spite of the CCP economic retaliation

@JA-pn4ji It absolutely does not have civil military fusion. You are confused at what that is. It does not mean that private companies willingly help their countries government on tech and innovation.. it means that they are compelled and forced to help. It's literally illegal for any private company or citizens to deny helping the Chinese government in any endeavor, even espionage. Buffoon... figure out what you're talking about before you open your mouth

@dxelson Look at my response to the other guy, because I'm not typing it twice. We have more than one buffoon here apparently

@stevec8352 So you completely misunderstood what I said then. Go read what the civil-military fusion is actually about, then come read what I said very carefully word for word, and then reply

@D2524-v8r Hmm no I still see it. It was a reply to J A. Here is again then: It absolutely does not have civil military fusion. You are confused as what that is. It does not mean that private companies willingly help their countries government on tech and innovation.. it means that they are compelled and forced to help. It's literally illegal for any private company or citizens to deny helping the Chinese government in any endeavor, even espionage. Buffoon... figure out what you're talking about before you open your mouth. To add to that - it means that if the Chinese government/military went to the companies that produce the hardware and software for these cameras, and said you need to make it so that we can access the video and audio of these cameras - they absolutely have to do it. There is no recourse, there is no pushback. Even if there is a .001% chance of that happening, any responsible government has to take into consideration that possibility and would be foolish to not investigate or think twice before installing Chinese tech in sensitive areas.
