@alexlazar4738 food, energy, and security ain't free. And they are much harder to come by in a country with contracting GDP... so to downplay it as if it doesn't matter - is wrong and disingenuous because I'm sure this person knows that

@DP-rr9kp Oh yes, I am quite aware of what GDP is. Germany is probably the hardest hit and still forecasted to end the year with positive GDP growth. Cheap gas helped but no you cannot just give all of the credit to that... ridiculous. The Germans have been quite innovative and efficient in their manufacturing...and gas does not create that. Their biggest mistake was putting so many of their eggs in one basket and snubbing nuclear. They're still snubbing nuclear and want invest invest in solar and wind - in a country that is neither sunny nor windy. So yes, I am quite aware of the situation

@DP-rr9kp I know they're a food and energy exporter....and they still got wrecked by sanctions and businesses pulling out. What does that tell you? It's not simply about producing food and energy... Russians still need money to buy shit. And I applaud Europe for what they did. They stood on their values, even if it meant short-term pain. @DP-rr9kp No, you were talking about GDP and then switched into "what-about-ism" by trying to point to bad things done by other countries in the past, as if it had some value or justification to what Russia is doing now. It does not... two things can be wrong at the same time, and one bad thing does not justify another.
