  1. About the economy being less sensitive to interest rates than we might have thought - he may be right. Something a lot of ppl don't remember was a few years ago when we had record unemployment and low rates, economists and the fed were baffled bc that historically meant higher inflation - but it didn't. They couldn't hit 2%.... and now - we jacked them up and they haven't had the same effect in the opposite direction as they have historically. So it might be true that today's economy is simply less sensitive, in both directions, to interest rates.
