Not worried about it. China is the next Japan in terms of a big slowdown and transfer of manufacturing...and the world is going to have to look for a new factory. Most of their GDP is all supply-side government-led spending...vs organic growth in consumer spending and private investment Which means you are gonna see "CHINA GDP GROWTH 5-6%!" at the end of the year...yet households and private corporate profits are stagnant or increased by lackluster amount

I feel like media companies are taking this too seriously and just using this to get clicks - OFCOOOOURSE these guys are going to visit China after their companies investing billions upon billions and not being able to visit in 3 years. Knock it off. It ain't news, and stop reading too much into it... newsrooms and readers alike..ain't no political message one way or the other in any of this.

Hmmm I'd say China has lost about half of wallstreet in the past 10 years. They relied too heavily on US corporations influencing government to their advantage. Not a bad bet to be honest... but when Trump arrived and changed the Republican (most business friendly) party + tarriffs, + Covid + lockdowns etc etc.... they lost a lot of corporate America. Don't believe me? Look at how many things in the US are built in China now compared to 10 years ago and it's a massive difference.
