Or just like China did to Japan with rare earth minerals... and then Japan just diversified their supply chain and now they don't have that leverage anymore. Same will probably happen with this

@SimilakChild So thats actually not accurate. The US, and the rest of the world - have Taiwan manufacture the very high end chips. Now, where do the designs and software come from so that TSMC can manufacture those chips? Well, they come from the US. Manufacturing is just one of the steps. They also need the software to design the chips. The US leads in that category... they simply outsource the manufacturing part. The US still manufactures moderate and moderate-high end chips, but just not the top of the top. So anyways, you clearly don't know what you're talking about and need to read up more.

@SimilakChild Yes... thats called manufacturing. The designs and software for those chips come from US. US is the #1 in software that is used to design chips. If USA is not tightening control of chips (top-end) to China....then China has nothing to be angry about, right?

@SimilakChild Lol I'm not deflecting at all..what are you talking about. I'm simply saying what you said is not accurate.....there is a lot more to chips than simply manufacturing. There's a lot of design and software that goes into chips before they can even be manufactured.. Many people don't realize it but the US still holds the #1 spot for design software. They simply outsource their manufacturing, but everyone still needs their software to design the latest chips.

Alright so the US is only hurting itself and China will succeed nomatter what, rigth? So then China has no reason to be angry and should be happy about this. Case closed right
