Why should it be expected that it put out an equal amount of negative news about everybody? Maybe some people have more negative things about them than others. That in of itself doesn't mean it's wrong or bias, as some are implying

Utter speculation without strong basis. He did his best to invade and failed.... you don't "pretend" to invade. You either do it or you don't.. and he definitely tried
21
He's over 80 years old, struggled his whole life, wrote books, and only recently became a "millionaire" at only 3 million net worth because of his books. Check yourself
15
He had the option to leave early on, fool... he said no I don't need a plane I just need bullets. Man you guys live in a totally alternate reality don't you?
13
What does that even mean
11
Kotkin answered this - Ukraine wasn't close to joining NATO, but even if they were - invading a sovereign country over a potential security deal with your enemy is not a justified reason to invade. Every country holds a sovereign right to negotiate their own security deals. If US thought Mexico in the future might join China in a security deal, that would not justify the US preemptively invading and taking over Mexico

I live in China and If you go back and read what original Marxism is about ---- its insane how opposite of that it is here. To the point where I don't see how they even draw a connection to it here (you can find statues of Marx in some parks and whatnot). Just by slapping on "With Chinese Characteristics" doesn't do it justice... its like the exact opposite of original Marxism
10
@srhodes6963 I don't think there is any evidence that it is
9
@Nettamorphosis That in of itself is crazy though. If calling out somebody for their blatant racism means your allies turn against you...there could never be a greater sign that you're with the wrong people
9
What on earth are you talking about...
7
Utter nonsense that has no basis and isn't grounded in logic. You don't go in and then "willingly" pull out unless you were about to get smashed. Stop it...
6
@florencebaendes2853 Its not about being an expert.. it's obvious, simply logic.
4
If he loses - people will cry "fake fake fake!" and unable to accept loss, like adults.
4
Ok so Vivek didn't even answer the question...
4
@neoevans7833 She literally just did an unscripted interview with no teleprompter lol. Facts just don't matter to you guys
4
The current parallels are interesting. As the economy slows in China, dissent (or risk of) creeps up - and the current leadership cracks down hard again
3
Then you didn't understand what he said. He meant he would end the hopes of getting a populous in....He literally said that right afterwards. He wants a populous candidate and he fears Trump would punch a hole in the populous movement.
3
This is a good video where he admits he was wrong on something
3
Thats the argument but they were competing just fine
3
His family business and family members saw a lot of enrichment. Its not like he had an crystal ball that would allow him to see in the future he would lose court cases, get shot, etc...Much of those are in recent times
3
@squareff255 I think its you who do not get it. Your comment demonstrates you missed the entire premise
2
@henry-mn3hj Well actually, it came from Stephen Kotkin, who was also interviewed by Lex. You should look it up You are making silly assumptions about my character
2
I mean any influential media had a role to play in public support, nomatter how small. If you own 100 shares of apple - its microscopic ownership, but you still own a small piece of the company
2
Fake news. His country was invaded
2
A lot of people are. However many see Trump as a much greater threat
2
I live in China and little kids will tell me Mao Zedong is their hero and internally I just shake my head. I asked an adult friend if people know how bad Mao was and she said "We know he made mistakes but people just attribute it to him being old."
1
@alexsnow5092 Its just nonsense stuff that you guys have backwards engineered to suit a desired narrative. Putin miscalculated and now Russia is a rogue state and China's bitch. Typical over-confident authoritarian.. he messed up in Ukraine and Kiev specifically
1
@evgenyreshetnikov3483 google is your friend

@jasonjean2901 Lol oh little Jason. Notice how the economy is growing at 5% but wages are either flat and going down? How about corporate profits? Yes also flat or going down. I wonder how that can be... Self sufficient? LMAO...China is more reliant on external demand than ever. Please put down Xinhua for a minute, sir

@jasonjean2901 Lol oh little Jason. Notice how the economy is growing at 5% but wages are either flat and going down? How about corporate profits? Yes also flat or going down, with youth unemployment quite high as well. I wonder how that can be in an economy growing at 5%? Self sufficient? LMAO...China is more reliant on external demand than ever. With domestic demand so low, the need to rely on exports and hoovering up demand from the rest of the world has never been greater...hence the worry about "de-risking" and tariffs from places like the EU, US, and other countries. Please put down Xinhua for a minute, sir

@lgroots8691 Whether you think he's wrong or not - it takes a lot to admit that publicly, and we need more of that in the world. Not chastising people for it

Elon loves to criticize US gov for freedom of speech and everything else, but he won't say a peep about China, which has no freedom of speech and put roadblock after roadblock for his business in China. Simply put - he knows who his masters are
1
@KaiserHooray They recognize it on paper, but functionally its clear by their actions in regards to Taiwan, they don't recognize it in practice. It's simply a game of politics to keep China calm and avoid another major geopolitical crisis
1
@freddybell8328 He cares about his money first and foremost. He knows he can talk shit to the US and it makes him more popular, he knows if he talks shit to China they will ruin his business. Simple as that
1
What a great way to take somebody out of context. He's talking about baseless conspiracy theories about Clinton body counts and Hillary birthing Alien babies. Lets be honest, Pakman is probably much much more informed about political issues than you or I, so stop it....
1
The comments here are full of haters on Sam just because he disagreed with your boy Weinstein. Knock it off...
1
@artugert nope
1
@023achilles He has to leave to lobby for support. You're acting like he's running from the frontline to a safe place to hide. Stop it... You really are desperate to tow Tucker's line and paint Ukraine, the country who got invaded, as the bad guy huh? Shame on you... its disgusting, just like Tucker
1
@simontide6780 You conspiracy theorists are just ridiculous...all sense of real world logic out the window, connecting ridiculous things together
1
@reeferrick1078 He's right. You are the one who has been eating up Tucker's propaganda
1
Well didn't he actually get banned for not appointing a legal representative to challenge this in court? Which is like a middle finger to their judiciary system. And people/bots on X do spread a giant amount of misinformation. I'm not so quick to "judge" this judge without knowing more first, and I don't see why Elon couldn't even pick somebody to represent X to make their case Brazil ain't US and its important to respect the laws and customs in other country's. Elon wouldn't pull that in China
1
No way... too many of his positions just don't line up with most democrats. Its not about being "captured" he objectively doesn't line up

A lot of white people forgot that America was a melting pot where people from all came and united under a common idea and value system. Just because the vast majority of people happened to be white doesn't mean that US belongs to white people. Even back in the day, white people discriminated just the same against other white people - namely Italians and Irish. Now that they're considered part of the "ingroup", that same attitude is pointed at people with different color skin. But the fact remains - US doesn't belong to white people, its a value system and common ideals that unite us
