  1. This man is right. I live in a very wealthy part of China and even here people are hurting financially and youth struggling to find jobs. If there is 5% growth - nobody knows where it is going because its not felt even in an area like mine that typically has high economic growth.

  5. @ Well you can ask the gentleman in the video about that. Don't take my word for it - all I can do is offer my personal experience. But I do have friends all over and somehow they are all experiencing the same. Its common knowledge inside China that jobs are hard to find and things are much slower... I don't know what to tell you. If you want more concrete data - watch the video again or just search it here on google or youtube. There is tons of data to support what I'm saying.

  7. Is this a bot account? Logan is legit and nothing like Gordon Chang, and not predicting the collapse of the Chinese economy. Also, people have been predicting the collapse of the US since 1960's and before... so stop complaining. Big boy countries need to take big boy criticisms.

  8.  @japjungho4645  Its a downtown area of a first tier city. Probably some of the highest GDP per capita in China. And you're "losing hope" thing is your words not mine. Just saying that its pretty common talked about how jobs are hard to come by and the economy sucks. Tell me I'm lying.. if you live in China - you know what I'm saying is true.

Here is a copy and paste: I'm not gonna show you personal info so you can go report me. But I'll tell you whatever else you want to hear - the metros and busses come every 5 minutes or so, EV cars are everywhere, e' le me is quite nice and convenient, I can get a plumber to come to my house and fix something for about 50 yuan, A lot of people are starting to travel for Chinese New Year so the big cities are about to be pretty empty compared to usual, if you go to a restaurant people will ask you "ji wei" to see how many people, there are street cleaners each morning who pick up the trash (most are older people). A lot of the older people spit on the floor outside but not many of the younger people do it. Is that good enough or do you want me to think of more details about daily life? So for you, TienyeeTien - Do you want any more details about daily life in China to show you that I live here?

Im talking about local gov and corporate debt...This is what you have to consider in China because this is where most of the debt is held....its not by the national government like in most countries. They are in debt to the banks which is also run by the local governments - and this how the problem started. They control the very banks that lend to them so its created a massive pile of bad loans and debt. It is absolutely a massive problem, just because its in domestic currency doesn't make the debt any better - ask Japan China's debt to GDP is worse than the US and its at a much lower development level and GDP figure. Add to that a shrinking population and deflation - it is a massive problem
