  1. Way more than 80 million. There are 100 million in Guangzhou alone... if you factor in all of the Cantonese speakers in the entire world? Many many millions more. I know most of the big Chinese populations in places like Monterey Park and Alhambra, CA - alone are Cantonese speakers.
