The interesting thing about the Female preference is - The men, of course, have the opposite preference. They, by and large, like/expect the traditional structure because it benefits them more.. its a clash of the genders. If males were willing to be more open-minded and progressive, more females would probably be willing to pair-bond.

@derek4412 Men prefer to keep the patriarchal system where they make most of the decisions and the women takes care of the children. The women still needs to work in modern day though because of cost.. most women are saying "no thanks" to this option and are choosing to not have children or get married

@derek4412 No, smart-guy. Welcome to 2024 - where women need to work and take care of children. Only wealthy men can afford to have their women stay home... most non-wealthy men in China expect the wife to take care of kids and she also needs to work to afford this child

@phoenix51472 Thats interesting because I live in China and know ZERO asian families where the man spends most of his free time on household work. They love their kids but the wife still do more work than the husband - in all situations. The only women who don't earn are the families who are very wealthy. So you can talk about the Asian families but I lived here for years and known countless families and none of them are the way you describe
