  2. The export controls might be bad for US companies but what China intends to do with those chips is bad for US as a country. Look, you can't sell someone the noose for which they will hang you with, all to make a buck. That is an old commy saying about capitalists and how eager we are to make money. If somebody is positioning themselves as a strategic threat - you can't help them. Not to mention all of the tech thefts over the years... enough is enough
