How is the US being expansionist in Ukraine? Russia invaded Ukraine, if anybody is being expansionist its them. What territory is the US trying to capture for itself to expand upon China is also being imperialist/expansionist with its actions in the South China Sea. Your perception of who is being imperialist is way off

Hmm Taiwan is already a Democracy. And you should look up what a colony means... Taiwan is its own self-governed country

When you read about pure Marxism... its wild to see how different it is, and many instances the complete opposite of what China is. Yes, I know, this is explained as "Socialism with Chinese characteristics" but if its so far (and in many cases opposite) from the actual characteristics of socialism - how can it even bear that name at all?

@biggpicture2930 Well I don't want to type a big essay, but the ultimate goal was: A classless, stateless society where the means of production are communally owned, and wealth is distributed according to need. The state will "wither away" as class distinctions disappear. *I see no intention of the state to ever "wither away" and in fact quite the opposite - its growing in its control over the economy, politics, and society *Wealth is highly concentrated within a small group of the population, with the majority not having a lot compared to the ones that do...and definitely not distributed according to need. *I think class disparities are huge *I don't see communal ownership at all, in fact the economy is significantly capitalist So yeah, it just seems to be going in the opposite direction of the goal of actual Marxism to the point its unrecognizable

@biggpicture2930 Alright, keep that energy... but both those countries are still doin well

@biggpicture2930 I'm from there. All my friends and family are there - and they're doing great. Opposite of the news inside China, which makes everything look better than it is, the US news makes things look far worse than it is. Living there, and watching things on social media - is completely a different world. US is far from perfect, but we acknowledge our problems (something China cannot), and rest assured there is a reason US is still the global leader in many areas and still a top destination for Chinese immigrants and students

@kalipotmeng Yes, I can see you gobble up all of the propaganda from the CCP about everyone who China has problems with is just a US colony or 狗腿 or whatever. Go look up with a colony actually is and what those countries problems with China actually are. Why don't you tell me what you think will happen if TSMC doesn't produce some of its chips in the US

@biggpicture2930 highly highly doubtful... those states are not allies and would not risk military confrontation to save the others.. ie - nobody is helping Russia with their own armies in Ukraine, not even China.
1
@biggpicture2930 Yeah, I think the exact opposite... its a tie based on a common enemy and relies on convenience and Russia being a vassal state to China. But yes, you are always free to think what you would like
1
@biggpicture2930 Well you could kind of answered the question there. Russia would have collapsed without China's support, mainly through increased trade and tech. Russia now, basically, belongs to China. China is free to squeeze them for below market energy prices and pretty much anything else it wants because - Russia has no choice. China has also truly secured its northern border for the first time in its long history with Russia, so it was willing to take the hit in EU relations

@biggpicture2930 If it were possible we could bet money - I'd love to take that bet and would wager quite a lot. Unfortunately we can't

What he's saying makes sense on paper, but the issue is Russia has aligned with China long ago and it has bought into the rise of the East and fall of the West narrative. It saw a rising China with interest more aligned with its own and its economic growth benefitting it. Getting Russia on the side of the US against China sounds good, but its a very unrealistic goal.
