  3. Europe just needs to accept that the Trump administration is going to slowly pull out of supporting Ukraine. I'm not a fan of this course of action but it's best if Europe plans for this in advance.

  4. You could be correct and I hope that turns out to be the case. However, we must be honest with ourselves. Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about global democracy or Ukraine. For example, his envoy to Ukraine is a retired general but his envoy to Russia and the Middle East (specifically Gaza) is a billionaire real estate developer (Steve Witkoff).

  8. @ Great post and thanks for taking the time to type it out. As an American, I would like to see a European military bloc that is independent of the US. To be honest, democracy is stronger in many European countries (especially Scandinavia) than in America right now…and that needs to be free of Russian, Chinese, or Russian oversight or influence.

  9.  @TrevorCrook-c1s  That’s some wishful thinking on your behalf Trevor. We both know that Putin would have strongly preferred to sack Kiev in 72 hours as opposed to a prolonged war. That’s just common sense. Putin’s plan A didn’t work out, so he doubled down and went to plan B.
