@AstroGremlinAmerican I really doubt that you're American. Why does your screen name have "American" in it?

@AstroGremlinAmerican That doesn't make sense. Please explain.

@kparker2430 If NK invaded SK, the ONLY thing keeping most of the NK army from surrendering in order to leave NK is the fact that Kim Jung Un will imprison their parents, siblings, spouse, and children. I understand why the NK are desperate for freedom (and food).

I agree. This is a pleasant surprise.

@martinscheffler3866 I can see that we're talking about different points. My point was that the West isn't expanding. Instead, countries that were former Soviet states are voluntarily approaching the EU and NATO because they desperately want democracy and freedom as opposed to risking going back under Russian rule. If Putin is going to have his feelings hurt because is accepting his crappy offer, he needs to sweeten his deal. Orban's, or anyone's, governing is too subjective for us to bother with. Great, you love Orban.

I'm American and I agree with you.

@LilMissMurder3409 SK already has the existing weapon systems in place to counter an invasion from NK. Also, they produce a lot of high quality weapons, especially for a country their size. So... a) NK will never attack SK because NK will lose that war (and half it's troops will not come back to NK). b) Currently, Russia does NOT have the weapons to give to NK. That's one of the reasons Putin went to NK, to get weapons. SK is actually in a good place to give modern weapons systems to Ukraine in terms of stock. Secondly, that just further drains Russia and NK of weapons. Thirdly, Russia has to fight with the low quality NK weapons.

That theory doesn't make sense. I will never understand why people believe in things that don't make sense.

@martinscheffler3866 When has NATO taken an offensive military action?
1
So you're saying that a world at peace, that doesn't spend large sums of it's budget on it's military, is a provocation?
1
It's ok. We have douche bags on our side of the pond too.

It's hard to develop type 2 diabetes when you're near starving to death.

Or, in reality, was it Putin?
1
@phil20_20 And the Kim family give up a life of wealth, ease, luxury, and being worshipped just to extend basic rights, freedoms, and food to their fellow NK's...I doubt it. Unless the issue is forced.
1
I agree with that statement. And that's why his only allies in the world are NK, Iran, China, and Syria.
1
A lot of them are. They're just a flock of sheep with blind faith in Trump. I've been trying to understand them since 2016 and just can't. MAGA doesn't make sense.

It was a trade. Russian lives for Finnish land. The Russian ruling class had no problem with that trade and still don't.
1
@SerendipityChild I was commenting on the Russian tendency to not value the lives of the common Russian citizen.

Life under Putin.

Until Putin pissed off SK. Now Putin got himself an ounce of help and a pound of pain.
1
@shonevans2563 So you are saying that NK will give more arms to Russia than SK will give to Ukraine? Is that your point?
1
@shonevans2563 Look Shon, if Putin could magically get weapons from SK as opposed to NK, he would be ecstatic. The fact of the matter is that Putin only has dictators for allies (Kim Jung Un, Ali Khomeini, Xi, and al-Assad). You are free to support dictators if you like but I don't.

Freedom of speech unfortunately includes idiots like Farage and Trump.

Makes me wonder if ISIS is retaliating against Russia for killing it's fighters involved in the Crocus theatre massacre?
1
Clear and to the point. Thanks!
