  1. To me, it’s just not eating. Fasting doesn’t really happen until over 24 hours. When I first started studying fasting, the experts were very adamant about intentionally setting a time to eat (typically 8 hours or less) and a time to not eat as “time-restricted eating,” and anything over 24 hours as intermittent fasting, then the lines got blurred, and everything has now been called intermittent fasting.
