  1. Some cars have a problem with mildew in the AC condenser pan. I know our Mazda CX-5 (and all CX-5's) have this problem particularly when running the A/C on recirculate. For some reason it just builds up a crap load of condensate moisture, which can start to mildew. If we always run the A/C on fresh air instead, it doesn't really smell.
