Russia is a country with many different nationalities and peoples and we learnt to live together very well. But the west constantly tries to push the narrative how we feel superior and everyone else wants out of Russia. That's just propaganda points, not reality

He was talking about mysterious, illogical nature of Russia that comes from heart and not the mind. Your comment shows very well that Tyutchev was right- you have no idea what Russians are about and what drives them. Adds to your despair I guess. @jimmcloughlin roads)) very funny. First, Russia would have never been excepted into EU. That was with many promises given to Russia and for some time we believed and tried hard to to follow all rules and regulations hoping to be recognised as an equal partner. So many western structures and ideas were adopted, countless. Soon we realized it's just bla-bla. Rules only work for those who sets them and are used to keep us under control. About roads and factories. I see many news episodes are illustrated with videos from Russia that are 20-30 years old. Maybe you believe this is how Russia looks now? Sorry to disappoint but Moscow for example is a fantastic city now, clean beautiful and comfortable, very advanced where you can pay transport with your FACE and streets are washed with shampoo. I remember many years ago seeing it abroad and getting amazed- and now we have it in Russia while my last visit to Rome I saw rubbish everywhere and sht spread on the streets in the center. Urgggg. Of course Moscow is the capital, but it also being done in many other parts of Russia. Look at Kazan for example. We have good free hospitals, many new factories were built, and roads)), industries function well and due to sanctions- thanks- we learnt to be self reliable in many spheres. Putin might be rich, but I don't mind it- he totally deserves it for what he did with Russia. 20 years ago he got a ruined country, and look at it now- striking contrast. That's why people of my age, around 40, would never support scum like Navalny. We remember very well what it was like 20 years ago and we don't buy into this BS. Navalny is universally despised btw, everyone knows he is paid by the west and generally an asshle. And when we see him pushed as opposition- it is SO clear it's western narrative. You don;t really understand what's going on in Russia

That's a much more realistic assesment than to keep saying- Putin failed as he didn't take Kiev. How long has this been repeated? One more objective has been demilitarization. That's aldo going quite well with main targets and huge amount of weapon depos destroyed

But it is just intepretation to think it was done on purpose and to ruin a certain group- there is zero proof of that/ It was the result of stupid politics led by Soviet goverment at that time and lots of people suffered all over USSR. @Morwenna1220 I am speechless. Putin has been telling us about tries to rewrite history but I never paid much attention to that. Only now I understans how bad the situation is. It is RUSSIAN history and Ukraine is trying to steal it. I mean, there are chronicles, there is numerous material evidence clearly indicating that Keiv was where RUSSIA started, No serious historian would say otherwise. But then again, you probably believe it was US who defeated nazi in WW2?

@Stefan Russians are anything but brainwashed)) stop judging by yourself. Historically we don't trust governments, we have been deceived too many times before. And if now we support Putin- it's because we really see what he has done for the country. Of course still there are lots of things to be done and he also recieves a lot of criticism- oh yes, it's possible, and you won't go to jail for that, but in general- he earned peoples' trust in those years and it didn't come easy for him
