Art of the deal: give your opponent everything they want.
329
@yap5995 Everybody with any moral spine cares.
58
@liambyrne591 It was Russia who started this war.
21
@scoby41 Oh the same pathetic bot argument, that I heard since last year. Is Putin at the front? Nobody needs to be at the front to be on the side of the victim and against the bully.
19
I don't know if it's really kompromat, but the behaviour is 100% like it was, even if there was some other reason like sheer gullibility.
16
He even said Russia should be readmitted to G7. I don't know if Putler has some compromat on him, but he certainly acts like he did.
12
@sammy-ix3eh And the decades don't matter, appeasing bullies and accepting injustice never works well in the long run.
8
@NorwayToday98 "Keyboard warriors" coming from a keyboard warrior is a bit rich 😂 If I say criminals should be arrested and prosecuted, you will also except I will go out and catch them myself instead of leaving it to the police? 🤦🏼♂ Stop parroting Kremlin talking points.
7
The cease fire contained that the people be able to return to their homes. How dense has Trump have to be to talk about his plan and think it wouldn't harm the cease fire? He can't think even 1 step ahead?
6
@ The deal contained the right for the people to return to their home. How is that going to be possible if Trump forces them out of the area? Trump is the one that destroyed the deal.
5
UK promised troops when there was peace to secure it. Do you see peace in Ukraine, like your president promised he would achieve even before taking office? And how do you think UK troops will be securing any peace, when Kremlin is against it and Trump does everything Kremlin says?
5
Probably losing connection from jamming etc. is a problem with these UGVs but at some point they will come independent enough through AI that they can be very useful even without connection. For example send a group of these to scout some location or just wait for the enemy at some spot, sending alerts and photos/video back to the humans when something relevant is noticed. Because they don't fly, the batteries could last a lot longer so they could even just wait in one spot for days and monitor for enemy movement.
4
@sammy-ix3eh Just like when they did the same last time, before ww2? It was a great success wasn't it?
4
@sammy-ix3eh 143 countries know who the bully is, you white knighting for them doesn't change anything.
4
@AtticusKarpenter What he said isn't a logical fallacy, but yours obviously is. False analogy.
4
@ It's kind of simple when one country invades another because their dictator has imperial ambitions. Don't pretend you are the grown up here if you can't figure out who the victim is.
3
@Marvelmcusucks And what is the end goal? That all the invading troops are removed obviously. If US and NATO countries had some moral backbone we would have intervened already in 2014.
3
@ It's not big talk to side with the victim. Are you really this dense?
2
@ Do friends pay bounties for unaliving your citizens?
2
@Marvelmcusucks Afghanistan survived against Soviet Union so Ukraine could survive against Russia.
2
@ "Zelenski invaded Donbas and the Donetsk regions." He invaded his own country? 🤦🏼♂
2
He hasn't ever said it would be done with military force, in fact he made it clear he would not use military force against Canada. He is talking about economic coercion, basically demonstrating to Canada they aren't viable economically without trade with US. So he plans to bankrupt Canada and hopes they will want to join at that point.
1
About the S300 radar, didn't Turkey buy an S400 some years ago which resulted in the issue without not being allowed to buy US jets? Would think Americans could have access to that radar technology already back then through the help of Turkey unless Turkey would not let Americans check it out or it would require complete taking apart to reverse engineer.
1
@chrisj4236 yeah Ukraine also had those so probably nobody needs anything from Syria.
1
Lease Taiwan submarines that can launch nuclear weapons, I doubt Xi would risk it after that.
1
@WraithDecember "Joined Dec 22, 2023"
1
The moral thing from US would be to provide Ukraine similar 2000 warheads now for the ones US convinced them to give up in a very bad deal. Trump is all about countries being treated fairly, right?
1
@ We don't remember that, because it never happened.
1
@ Nobody promised Russia that NATO would not expand, it's just a myth they wish to spread.
1
@ China can have them, we don't need ties with war criminals and terrorist states.
1
@whodat9198 No Zelensky had nothing to do with it, no matter what victim blamers try to claim. Kremlin asked Trump to withhold intelligence and Trump did what Kremlin asked, like always. US has a traitor in the white house.
1
@don2deliver Ukrainians were there also, but much more from Russia. From the casualties, Ukranians were about 1/5 but nice try with the propaganda.
1
@ Trump is the traitor obviously, doing everything possible to help Kremlin. Zelensky was ready to sign, Trump had to cancel the deal because Kremlin told him to. So they orchestrated the stunt in the White House and sent Zelensky home. He was ready to sign, but they told him to leave.
1
@don2deliver Ok, I don't admit it's true so it's propaganda then. Tnx for clarifying.

Obviously no airfield in a NATO country (that are not party to the war) would be a legitimate target for Russians just like targets in Belarus aren't legitimate for Ukraine unless Belarus actually comes a party to the war. If those NATO airfields are used to strike against Russia then that country would become a party to the conflict, but not if the planes are just parked there while being serviced etc. If Russia hits anything inside NATO then that is pretty much a declaration of war.
1
@CrossCultural-c7f You want Americans involved with the ethnic cleansing of Gaza? That's America first MAGA: send troops to Gaza, risk lives and spend a lot of money building Trump tower there?
1
Ukraine is just kicking RU in the nuts and they don't like it. If they are able to hit enough of those radars, it would actually make it less likely RU would use nukes. Not the best time to start using nukes, if you can't see possible responses coming. So it's a risky but gutsy strategy from Ukraine. If RU uses any nukes, even their allies like China will have a hard time standing with them and they will be even more clearly the obvious bully in the eyes of the rest of the planet.
1
What do you do when a tsunami is coming and you know you can't stop it? You move out of the way so you can survive and return later. Perhaps the Ukrainians calculate that it's better for them to retreat slowly while inflicting casualties and see if the Russians stop on their own volition when they reach the oblast borders they said was their initial intention to take. If that is where the progression halts anyway (obviously highly uncertain), this way Ukraine would have spared more of its own troops and perhaps can try to trade some areas from Kursk in some negotiations. If Ukraine thinks time is on their side, this might make sense. Eventually ru regime might collapse and at that time regaining these territories might be easier, it might be possible even by peaceful negotiations if some sane person sits in the Kremlin at that point. Perhaps Ukraine thinks next year it will have advantage for some other reason, their jet drones, Russian economic collapse due to no functioning oil refineries or something similar. There could be many reasons, but they seem to think that for some reason or the other, it's not a good time to spend lives fiercely defending those places, but it's better to retreat slowly, save lives while still doing damage to ru forces that are advancing.
1
@dimdim3490 Anything labeled as "foreign agent" in Russia is likely about 5000% more reliable than any RU news sources.
1
@ I didn't start the war and neither did my country. Russia started the war and is obviously the bully no matter how much spin some Kremlin bot tries to spam.
1
@sammy-ix3eh I never said I wouldn't go. I'm willing to go as part of my regiment, if NATO does the correct thing and gets involved.
1
Trump knew he couldn't get a deal done so they organised this stunt to blame Ukraine and bail out.
1
If they had that level of access to those pagers, they probably could have continued to monitor any message going through so kind of strange why would they do it now instead of keeping the benefit of being able to monitor them. Were they close to being discovered or are they really motivated to get a full war going so they could strike the Iranian nuclear program?
1
@MisguidedPolicyIsBurdensome You think they also planned to have explosives in their pagers? You don't understand who ever can plant explosives obviously can also integrate a transmitter and maybe even intercept/decrypt all messages while being delivered?
1
Trump said Russia should be readmitted to G7. There is something seriously wrong in the white house. Reagan is probably spinning in his grave.
1
@TuanTran-h5f Real surprise a bot account started last year is panicking when ru backed Assad is going down. I don't really care at the moment what the guys are yelling, it's time for Assad to go, he has unalived enough of his own people. If after Assad there will be another Taliban in Syria, then too bad but it's probably not worse than Assad and at least there is a non 0 chance of something resembling democracy in the future, unlike with Assad.
1
@harryflashman4542 Western idiocracy? Have you watched what is on RU tv daily? I suggest for example "Russian media monitor" here on Youtube, the channel records and translates clips from RU talk show that is obviously Kremlin sanctioned.
