  2. So the guy messaged highly advanced aliens able to travel here, and they decide to respond in their langugage they knew would be hard for us to understand instead of replying in clear English? Yep makes perfect sense. And no, you can't just translate a totally unknown language just by listening and assumin the context is "ships" etc. That is total nonsense also. If aliens would want to discuss among themselves, they would do it on encrypted channels we could never crack. If they wanted to talk to us, they would do so in English that is easy for us to understand.

  3.  @davedhayden  And you believe a) That CIA actually did it b) Not a scam by CIA to fool someone c) Successful and not some effect like people fooling the CIA or people knowing which time someone would call so noticed a pattern? I would need a few more independent parties replicating any such effect before even considering it possible.
