Reason there were only 8 protesters in Gothenburg: there is a few crazy people in every village, but most Swedes understood where the threat is coming from after February 2022. Baltic states knew it even better and were much less naive, they joined as fast as they could much sooner. I have never heard even a remotely intelligent argument against this move that should have happened decades ago. And to imply that Sweden joining NATO is what puts in the frontline of the conflict, is unbelievably naive. The only countries Russia has attacked are non-NATO members like Ukraine. Do you think Ukraine would have ever been invaded if it was a NATO member? Any conflict in the Baltic area involving Russia and Sweden out of NATO, would have almost immedialy seen Russian forces take the strategically important Gotland island. If Russia was fighting on multiple fronts against other western nations, a scenario that could not be ruled out would be them using their doctrine of "escalate to de-escalate": Invasion of Gotland and then show of force with a tactical nuclear strike somwhere on the Swedish territory to "cool down" western rulers. Sweden out of NATO, the west might actually stand down at that point and decide that to intervene would be too risky, Sweden in NATO and that scenario is all but ruled out as the country is under the nuclear umbrella of NATO members like US, France and UK.

@momala3919 Ukraine was neutral when it was attacked 🤦♂

@momala3919 Why are you lying?😂 The war began in 2014, Ukraine changed its constitution in 2019. It's new constitution, which came 5 years after the Russia had invaded contains aspiration to join EU and NATO, but it hasn't joined either one yet. Certainly Ukraine was neutral when Russia attacked it, and technically it's still neutral according to many because it hasn't joined any military alliances like NATO yet.
2
@momala3919 And Russia violated the Minsk agreements 1 week after signing. It was also a useless agreement to begin with, as Russia had violated the much earlier Budapest memorandum of 1994. That already demonstrated nobody should make any deals with Russia as it doesn't honor any agreements anyway.
2
@momala3919 "Western countries violated their promises many times more often" You mean promises that you imagine that never actually existed? What agreement are you talking about? What paper? "your national security, then no right matters." Tnx for admitting Russia cares nothing about international law and only about it's own imperial interests. According to your logic, Poland and Lithuania can then for example take Kaliningrad at some opportune time, Finland can take back Karelia, Japan can take some areas and China can invade Siberia. All as long as they simply state Russia was a threat.

You know the target lists of Russian weapons before and after Finland joined NATO? Stop lying as you have no idea. Finland only had 1 threat ever since ww2 and it was from the east. Finnish war veterans from winter war for example were pro-NATO and said Finland should never be in a position again to fight alone so were very happy that Finland joined, like 80% of the population that wanted it as well.
1
@Rotwold Finland was invaded in 1939 and it very much fought alone, besides some volunteers from Sweden, Estonia etc. If you know nothing about history, stop embarrasing yourself.

Really? Russia hasn't invaded a single NATO member, but it has invaded multiple ones that are not: Moldova, Georgia and now Ukraine. How about the last world war, do you think it was better to be against America and it's allies and you would have preferred the regime in Germany to win?
1
Still want to lie about who did it?
1
@bjabbbjabb1286 Obviously wasn't Americans that did it, and not even the German investigators think so. If you want to keep lying, go ahead.
1
Yeah, really sad to see that countries move from the list of countries in risk of being attacked by Russia, to list of countries Russia does not dare to touch. Are you naive enough to believe Ukraine would have ever been invaded if it had joined NATO when for example the Baltics that know Russia the best did?

Straight up Russian propaganda with blatant lies that anyone can fact check. Like the lie that people in Eastern parts of Ukraine wanted to join Russia. There have been an actual referendum on this after 1991 and multiple independent polls since then on the matter, and the support for joining Russia in these areas was never over 25%. The only area in Ukraine, where ethnic Russians were a majority is in Crimea and even there the support for joining Russia, although higher, was never over 50%. As to the "apartheid" policies, even Girkin who was part of the invasion group of ru has admitted, there was nothing to "liberate" in the areas and the local population didn't want them there. And finally the lie about Sweden supposedly ending up with less excess deaths: compare the statistics to Finland, Norway and Denmark. Even Tegnel admitted the death rates in Sweden were something like 10 times higher per capita during the pandemic, but assumed others would catch up later. The neighbors never caught up of course, because at that point they had vaccinations available so the covid policy in Sweden was an obvoius failure that cost them countless lives.

@momala3919 "Ukraine changed the constitution not only in 2019" The constitution which Ukraine had in 2014 when Russia invaded the country said nothing about joining NATO or EU and thus the country and it's constitution were obviously militarily neutral. Aspirations to join EU and NATO were added to the constitution in 2019, after which Ukraine still remained by most definitions a neutral country as it had not joined NATO.

@momala3919 "the treaty on the inviolability of European borders" What are you talking about? 😂 I said not promises that exist in your imagination, treaties that have a date and signatures. And you talk about inviolability after Russia is the one violating that left and right? 😂 How can anyone take such a hypocrite seriously?
1
@momala3919 Again, exact name of the treaty, signatories and date it was signed?
1
@momala3919 "Grow up and learn history." Learn history? Yugoslavia did not even exist in 1999 😂Tuzla Island was part of Ukraine since 1954 when Crimea was handed over to Ukraine. Tuzla island had been part of Crimea since 1941. You know nothing or are just intentionally lying?
1
@momala3919 "Speaking of the fact that the approval of the UN Security Council was required for the imposition of sanctions against Russia"" And this is another silly lie. Every country can obviously decide on what sanctions they apply, no UN approval is needed. You can't get anything right? Your boss wrote your pathetic script or you came up with it yourself?
