  1. Gorbachev self has said no such promise was ever made and that the topic of NATO expansion didn't even come up. What actually disgussed was no NATO bases in east Germany. This video parrots typical Russian propaganda where indepent countries for some reason don't have the self determination to self decide if they can apply to join NATO or that the west should appease bullies like Putin the way the Austrian painter was appeased with known results. I start to understand now why this channel finds something to complain about so many other countries but not about Russia.
