  26. I'm a huge fan of Sagan. He recognized my channel back in 2016 when I had 5k subs. I feel like Sagan wasn't enjoying it when everyone was going full gas (2020 & onwards). I remember when he was asked during his prime about retirement, he replied that he would retire when he stops enjoying racing.

It wasn't a matter of speed (although Sagan is one of the fastest guys) but it was a matter of positioning and decision-making. Btw Cavendish won the 2011 world championships title against Peter (rider with green helmet at 11:44) . The fact that Cavendish won 34 Tour stages and all of them were sprints just speaks for itself.

This is a story is about how Peter Sagan became one of the greats, featuring his rivalry with Cancellara, the 3 world titles, and his green jerseys. Right after the 2016 Flanders victory, I knew that many people would stop watching the video, so I had to skip any unnecessary details and be brief. When I said "this is the most anticipated moment of the whole classic season", I was referring to the decisive head-to-head battle between Sagan and Cancellara, it happened to occur on the Paterberg.

  320. When it comes to sprinting, Cav is statistically better according to PCS. They sprinted against each other 50 times, Sagan finished ahead of Cav 13 times, vs 37 times for Cavendish. And I remember Cav was in the conversation of the greatest sprinters even before Peter Sagan came to the scene a decade ago. In order to form an echelon, it takes a bit of time to organize rider from different teams. Only team GB and Belgium were prepared and organized because they studied this short section.

  342. I was lucky to have seen 3 of the best sprinters going head to head in their prime, Kittel, Greipel, and Cav. Although MVDP and Sagan are some of the fastest guys, but they are not in the category of pure sprinters. The two more gifted all round, and can shine in a variety of other terrains/situations.
