This is why banning guns is a terrible idea. Buy guns, everyone. If someone breaks in, neutralize the threat. Don’t let yourself, most of all your wife become a victim.

@BigSam450 die because of what? Guns? Not that many. Rifles are involved in less then 1% of all homicides. People are killed more by hands in feet. The areas with tightest gun laws have the most violence. Guns have been a part of our country since our inception, why were mass shooter events not more common? It’s a cultural decay issue. If guns were always available and these events didn’t happen to this extent, you have to explain why guns are the reason now, and why they didn’t happen then.

@rockon8174 didn’t say that they did. I said it’s a terrible idea. It is an idea being pushed. It would have been great if they had an AR there. I’m just trying to help people with dense heads connect the dots. I also want to encourage gun ownership.

@herchelleonwood7463 you can insult people as much as you want. But you need to take into context over half of those are suicides. You need to take into account the number of defensive gun uses there are. You need to take into account that mass shootings happen to a high degree in other countries when you look at a per capita level. Which would be the only fair way to evaluate. You also need to evaluate that shooting crimes are rising in Europe as cultural factors change. You also need to evaluate the trade offs of disarming a society in relation to criminal incentives, and to what the government can do to you when you don’t have guns. You can disparage me all you want. But I have broken apart and looked at the FBI and CDC data. I also have taken advanced statistics courses during my masters training. Anytime you just look at one number and say that the end all be all, chances are you haven’t looked much beyond that. Instead of putting you down, I would recommend you take a look at that data broken apart. Also, how would making guns illegal better? Criminals don’t obey the law. 94% of mass shooting events happen in gun free zones. Mass shooters routinely leave in their manifestos that they target gun free zones, because they are less likely to come up against a response in the rampage. Take a look, and have a great day.

@schmarpsywinkleurnklabean659 availability has always been high. Until the mid eighties you could buy automatic weapons. Gun culture has always existed in popular culture. My stats are accurate. Looks like a series of several felonies and a hate crime. Boy defends other boy being stolen from, and thrown in trash can. Outmatched fighting a couple the mob resorts to beating him to death. We have to assume race was involved like we would assume it would be for anyone else. 3rd degree murder, 2nd degree murder, and 1st degree murder because “they woke up that day wanting to kill a” white boy. Then take on the federal hate crime charges.
