  1. I feel nothing for these people. Until you start researching the reasons why things are happening and adjust your voting, I feel nothing. Anytime they interview these people they sound like schizophrenics. “Acab, where are the police? We don’t want our youth punished. Why is crime out of control? We shouldn’t punish ‘victimless’ crime. Why are all the stores leaving”? The beatings will continue until the policies you support improve.

You can get tricked about criminal justice reform verbiage once, maybe twice max. After that, this is what you support. If you say you don’t support it but you vote blue no matter who, yes, you support it by default. If you choose not to be responsible, inform yourself and vote, you choose it by default. I ran a business in Los Angeles. I closed up and moved. The people there are buying into this nonsense and I was treated like a crazy person for suggesting to punish criminals, and not allow homeless to do anything they want.

  32. I disagree with the fire chief. Seconds matter and a “minimal time” is a long time. In CPR/AED training, they tell you to never stop for more then 10 seconds. 10 seconds. His statement should have been, we unfortunately have to lock these up because having them there is better then not having them at all. But make no mistake, this will at some point led to a regrettable loss of life that may have been avoidable. They should be unlocked, and once criminals are properly prosecuted, we can change that.

  42. Seconding what you said Sean. I could afford a car or Ubers but took the bus in LA. I did this because often during peak traffic in and out of Santa Monica to the la brea area. It was fast because of the bud lanes. I also had to go to and from often for work, and parking a car was more of a pain. Once they let the free for all happen on these, I stopped riding completely. I just paid for Ubers, and was fine with the cost, the bus was just conveniently cheap, and conveniently fast in traffic. But with the free for all, the smells, the smoking, the domestic abuse. I had too many altercations that almost got me in trouble. I’m ex military, and I knew ahead of time I didn’t want an issue like the marine on the subway.

  48. I left LA. I ran a business there. It was tagged 3 times since 2020. I had to defend against rioters in 2020. I had a break in where they stole tens of thousands of dollars in business critical equipment. The police did nothing. Parking that was paid for by the business for my clients was not safe. Clients had cars broken into. There was a homeless encampment across the street where you could see them do drugs. It is hell for a business owner. I moved Tennessee last fall. It’s the best decision I could have made. Conservative business owners, move. They don’t want us there. NPR had a professor on who wrote a book called in defense of looting. She said that small businesses are leeches on the community. NPR knowingly platforms that. They clearly don’t value, want us there, and display open contempt for us. Just move. It’s not worth it. We will set up shop elsewhere, red states become redder, they’ll align with our values, we will flourish. They will live in their wastelands that go through Detroitification.

  50. 5:35 it’s important to note that armed robbers will often ring the doorbell hoping you answer because they will pose as delivery men, salesmen, as lost a person, or they will claim to be looking for someone by name that they do not live there. Their goal is to get you outside to be jumped with the door open for entry. Answering the door late at night with a gun is smart. Especially if you’re not expecting someone. Most of the time it won’t be anything, but it’s for just in case.
