  1. This is what these people want. Compassion for the criminals is cruelty to the victims. Until they elect hard on crime DAs, and mayors, they will keep getting this. If you start handing out thirty year sentences, all this would largely end.

  3.  @DerekWhite-yx2ce  Thanks, I know Matt Walsh has said it, but I think he got it from someone else, but I am not certain of that. It really encapsulates the concept of trade offs Sowell talks about.
