***** Well actually the Korean war was about democracy. Vietnam was kind of about democracy. Iraq was about prevent Iraq from taking over the middle east. Somalia was about trying to establish a government. Afghanistan was about revenge/democracy. Also with out the U.S. spreading globalization you wouldn't be saying these tolerant pro peace words. You would be to busy working for food and the only information you would get was your governments propaganda that tells you to hate the outside world. The world needs a police man and sadly America is the only nation that will do it.

***** Fine I agree the U.S. is a war mongering imperialistic continuation of Great Britain. But at least I won't be living under sharia law any time soon. Can't say the same for you my Norwegian friend.

***** We were protecting the Koreans from northern aggression. We were protecting Vietnam from northern aggression. We were protecting Kuwait from Iraqi aggression. If america is the only one starting wars then something is being done right.

***** No but the Princes know what will happen to them if ISIS reaches their country. Same thing that has happened to American and European reporters and countless other innocent people. One thing that Iraq has taught us is that as long as Islam is present the Middle East will never have democracy. So as long as Sadie Arabia abuses human rights in their own country and not try to do it in others there is sadly nothing we can do about them.

***** Turkey is a democracy because the Turks have always been somewhat more secular than the Arabs. I mean they managed to control vast amounts of the middle east and maintain relatively good relations with the west up in till world war one. And African democracies are constantly under siege from Muslim extremism. The only reason they managed to hold on is because massive amount of U.S. military aid and less than ethical tactics. And we will have to wait and see about Tunisia because like most Muslim countries they can explode at a moments notice. But I do hope that the Muslims can find democratic peace soon so we don't have to waste more money on them.

***** While I do agree that lots of civilians do die in war the percentage is more like 50% percent civilian 50% combatant.

***** Well Obama did say that the main reason for the airstrikes on ISIS was their horrible human rights abuses. But I think the main reason for the intervention just like in Iraq was that the gulf states feared for their safety and money so they convinced us to help them.

***** Name one secular democracy that we toppled. And I mean we know we toppled not what some conspiracy nut in his basement said we toppled.

***** Well most of those were because of communism which at the time of the cold war was a major threat to the free world. Also most of the regime changes were already being planned or had begun and the U.S, did nothing but give little money tot he rebels. And think of this how many governments did the Soviets topple or attempted to. But I will admit some of those were interesting and I thank you for showing me this.

***** so you are saying that the Soviet Union was not a threat. Yes geo politics and resources played a part just like they do in every war but communism was the main reason we did the things we did. Whether it was a misguided reason is up for debate.
