The crime aspect on both sides is the same, smuggling a product that's illegal in the other country, but the product being smuggled into Mexico is legally manufactured and sold in the U.S. The drugs being smuggled into the U.S. are also illegal in Mexico. They just don't have the manpower and\or will to stop a better armed and manned drug cartel. I do agree we shouldn't invade a sovereign nation to stop a group that's in business almost entirely to feed a drug habit of our own people. You want this to stop, make the illegal drugs legal. The cartels won't have a reason to fight so hard.
