Loren Merchan may indeed have a financial stake in the outcome of the trial her father is presiding over, but not in the way Trump is trying to make out. If anything, her company may very well get MORE income should Trump be acquitted in said case in order to counteract Trump's subsequent greater influence. Of course, this isn't about impropriety or the appearance of impartiality, it's about Trump dragging his feet and slowing things down.
