  1. I had an uncle that was a drug addict. My grandfather, his father, didn't really help him much, thought cutting him off would force him to clean up. He ended up with Hepatitis C and died of that. Only time I saw my grandfather cry was when he scattered my uncle's ashes, because he realized he could have helped him and not helping him is why he was scattering his ashes. Never turn your back on the people in your life struggling with addiction.
