  1. We used to elect smart people. Corrupt, self-interested, overly ambitious, yes, but people who were generally smart and well read. MTG has the corruption, self-interest, and extreme ambition, but she suffers from terrible and incurable stupidity. I think a book touching her skin would be like a cross touching a vampire.
