  1. The sad thing is, when they do FINALLY accept that they were in a cult, most of them won't move away from cultish behaviors or groups. Many of them were in a cult before and they'll be in another one after. They need people in their lives that can pull them away from the cult, away from fantasy and into reality and not be judgmental. Some of us have a hard time not being judgmental, giving people the, "it's about time," spiel. Try being more welcoming. I know it is hard, and that you're hurting, but we're glad to have you here with us now. Welcome and be safe.
