  1. I blame the NRA for this raft of violence. Not for making guns easy to get (it doesn't help, for sure) or for lobbying on behalf of the gun manufacturers (again, it doesn't help). I blame them for making the culture in this country around guns and gun ownership horrifyingly sick and toxic. Guns went from a tool for sport and hunting as well as a last resort for self-protection to the solution for your problems. If we still viewed the gun only for sport and hunting, we wouldn't be in this mess.
