  1. Nixon WAS the most popular president of his time... until he wasn't. If he hadn't gotten stooges to break into Watergate to steal Democrat's plans, he'd have finished his term and probably continue to be the standard bearer to this day. Instead, he broke the people's trust and became the most reviled Republican until goddamned Donald Trump. Sad thing is, Nixon had more integrity in his little finger than the entirety of the Republican party does today, and he had almost none.
