  1. While I think Santorum is wrong about most everything, he is right that pure democracy is a bad idea. There's a reason our founding fathers made this nation a representational republic. People should be allowed to make personal decisions, private decisions, decisions that affect them. They shouldn't be allowed to make decisions that affect everyone else. Rights can't be up for a vote, lest people vote to take yours away. We can't put EVERYTHING on the ballot for people to decide. Yes, our system is corrupt, but replacing it with a worse system won't help anyone.
