Let's not forget The Bible was used to argue both for and against the institution of slavery. If an article is being used to argue both sides of an issue, it argues neither. Speaker Johnson says his views are "The Bible," but it has nothing to say on American governance. He's arguing on behalf of his ideology and using The Bible as a shield. I'm sure his lord and savior is weeping tears of blood with how much the Republican party is abusing his name.
