  1. I'm afraid if we do keep letting him talk, his cult will latch onto his crazy talk and lionize it. We'll start having political discussions where it's one side pushing a child punishing agenda and the other side is trying to show how insane that is and the Overton Window gets pulled ever rightward. They don't need to succeed in their ideas, they just need to make their wackier ideas seem slightly fringe instead of out of the question like they should be then their bad ideas seem decent by comparison.
