  1. To be fair, had he warned the press, the military, anyone outside the bubble he was in, his life would have been in much more danger than it already was. Trump might have ordered the secret service to arrest him for treason, illegally obviously, but they likely would have done it. Of course, most of us would say we'd choose integrity over a megalomaniacal dictator, but it'd hard to know what we'd do with that gun pointed at our heads. We know what Pence did, the safest thing. Doing the right thing at the end matters, but much less if you dragged your feet and tried everything else first.
