I find it hard to understand how we've gotten to this point. I was a kid when the internet was just becoming ubiquitous. No one needed to tell me not to take my clothes off and send pictures to someone I met online, and I wasn't a genius or morally supreme either. Maybe that wasn't as much a thing at that point, but I'm sure it happened some. My family wasn't looking over my shoulder either. Maybe it was not having the internet when I was younger and so meeting strangers online wasn't commonplace yet, but are children really so naive today? I'm sure older people were saying they wouldn't have gotten into a stranger's windowless van when that was becoming more common, so I don't really know what to think here.
