  2. I read the comics after seeing the movie. Got the whole graphic novel set cheap at a used book store. I gotta say, this was a VERY well done movie. It's true to the tone, the energy, the unforgiving nature of it. Plus, I thought the movie's ending made MUCH more sense than the graphic novel's did. A genetically altered squid teleported into Manhattan wouldn't bring the USSR and the US together, it'd make the USSR have a laugh and promptly go on the offensive while the US was weak. Having everyone equally afraid of Dr. Manhattan bringing an angry god's fury, that would make any super power think twice.
