  1. China should have collapsed already if, and only if, it wasn't so economically entangled with the West. We've been infusing them with cash for decades. If they were as isolated as the Soviet Union was, having to rely entirely on themselves and what they produce with no influence from the West, their authoritarian and backwards form of Soviet style communism would have forced it to collapse. We're the ones keeping it going.
