Anyone who knows anything about turning books into movies understands you can't put 10 hours plus of reading into a two hour movie. Like translating something from one language to another, you have to focus more on semantics for language or thematics for books. As far as the movies are concerned, they got most of the themes and feeling right, they just had to sacrifice some plot for that goal.
