  1. Tucker Carlson, if he doesn't believe the godawful nonsense he spouts, then he's all the worse for it. Being hateful is bad, but giving the hateful lip service and a platform to spout their hate is worse. It's amplifying hate, all for profit.

  2. Republicans aren't interested in democracy, they're interested in power. Disenfranchising voters anywhere they can, driving down the number of voters, they understand, benefits Republicans. They've become intellectually lazy. If everyone who is legally allowed to could vote, they'd actually have to figure out how to convince a majority of people to vote for them, and that's hard. Especially considering just how damaging their policies are to the average voter.
