  1. You missed his point. His point was, "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." We will NEVER have perfect candidates, and a lot of the #metoo generation, slacktivist crybullies not having things exactly their way, keep pushing out aggressively competitive candidates because they aren't pure enough. Purity movements ALWAYS end in disaster for the purists. We can't win this for the long term being reactionary. This current debacle of extremist right-wing ideology becoming centrist took generations to come to fruition, it'll take generations to fight back to the real center.
