Rush was also probably upset when he read Stephen King's The Shawshank Redemption, where the narrator is Ellis Boyd Redding, a red-headed white guy and then saw that they cast that part as Morgan Freeman.  He also probably had a fit when on the show Elementary they took white male John Watson and turned him into Asian woman Joan Watson, or when they decided to make a black version of Annie.  On the list of things to be concerned about in this world that's right after "Are we eating too much garlic as a people."
